Q. I would love to find out more information on Dr. Linda - where can I find this?
Open
A. Check out www.drlinda.com for more info on her books, academic publications, TV appearances, biography and much more.
Q. Why do you recommend massaging your creams into the skin?
Open
A. The massaging process helps activate the ingredients and works the product more effectively into the skin. It also helps you to stop, take time to focus on yourself and enjoy using the products.
Q. I have blemished oily skin, is it okay to use your products?
Open
A. Yes, LP Skin Therapy has been designed to be used by all skin types. Congestion typically comes from over production of sebum which often occurs when we are stressed. LP Skin Therapy products allow the skin to become healthier through a combination of natural and scientific skincare ingredients plus of course the nootropics that can help calm stressed, tired skin.
Q. I’m really interested in your new Skin Therapy range and wondered if your products are tested on animals?
Open
A. We do not test raw materials or any of our finished products on animals.
Q. Are your products suitable for vegetarians?
Open
A. Most LP Skin Therapy products are suitable for vegetarians, however we point out that there is Bees Wax in the refining lip exfoliator and overnight replenish cream and lanolin is contained within the multi task day cream .
Q. Does the multi task day cream contain an SPF factor?
Open
A. The product contains UV Blockers which help act as a barrier to UVA and UVB rays. However multi task day cream has not been tested for a specific SPF rating, we would therefore recommend applying a sunscreen over the moisturiser.
Q. Why is LP Skin Therapy different from other skincare ranges?
Open
A. LP Skin Therapy is designed to tackle not just the external factors that can lead to skin deterioration such as sun damage & pollution but also crucially to tackle the equally important internal factors – stress and anxiety, which Dr. Linda’s research shows is one of the biggest factors behind prematurely ageing skin. LP Skin Therapy takes a holistic approach to skincare.
So, in addition to high performance skincare actives and peptides that work to combat the outward signs of ageing, LP Skin Therapy products include ingredients containing nootropics. These are naturally derived ingredients which have been researched & used in LP Skin Therapy for their calming effects on both the skin and the mind.
Subtle fragrances such as uplifting orange blossom, energising pomegranate and relaxing wild mountain flowers, reminiscent of Dr. Linda’s homeland of Cyprus add to the immediate benefit and overall holistic experience of using the products
.
Q. I have sensitive skin, is it okay to use your products?
Open
A. LP Skin Therapy has been designed to be used by all skin types, however for those with sensitive skin we would always recommend checking out the ingredients list first.
Q. What are nootropic ingredients and why are they included in the range?
Open
A. Nootropic ingredients, sometimes called cognitive enhancers, have been purported to help improve mental functions such as memory, concentration, and attention. The word nootropic is derived from the Greek word 'nous' for ‘mind’ and 'trepein' meaning ‘to bend/turn’
Ingredients containing nootropics are included in LP Skin Therapy to help encourage the release of 'feel good' chemicals thought to have a calming effect on the skin and help regulate mood. Ingredients include Periwinkle Extract, Tyrostan and Vitacell (a yeast extract), Hibiscus Extract and Baobab Oil to help calm & soothe stressed skin .
